All About Ani

Ani will introduce herself to you all:
Hi, I’m Ani. That’s short for Anise, like the spice. I’m also named after Annie Sullivan, the teacher of Hellen Keller. I was born July. My Momma first saw me on September the 6th, but didn’t get to take me home until September 8th because it was Labor Day weekend and I had to get operated on.

Momma thinks I look like Marie from the Aristocats and calls me her little Princess
I do like to cuddle
But I am also a fierce butterfly hunter
I like to play fight with my big bro, Marko
I also love to cuddle with him

Hullo furriends,
I am so sorry I haven’t been on the line in so long, but big things have been happening. First of all, I moved into a new apartment with Mum. The Dad still visits sometimes, but they’re not together anymore. Then another big thing happened. I got a baby sister! Her name is Anise (Ani), and she can be a pain sometimes, but mostly we get along and cuddle and take care of each other and play together lots. One thing unique about Ani is she is deaf. But we communicate just fine. I am getting bigger too. I am now 7 months old and weight 8 pounds. Ani came when she was 2 months old and 2 pounds, but now she’s 3 months old and 3 1/2 pounds.

I have been going outside a lot lately. I get to play in the backyard when Momma or Dadda are out there with me. Now I have a harness and leash so I can go even further. I’m not sure about that yet, it’s not toooo bad, but i definitely don’t like to have it on indoors! here is a picture of me still in my harness on the bungee leash when i came in from my walk with Dadda.

Mousey Mouse

I have a lot of little mices, but my favoritest one is my first one. It is my biggest mousey mouse. Dadda calls it my Christmas mouse because it’s red and green. Momma calls it my Chinese mouse because of the red fabric with the gold patterns. I take my mousey mouse to bed with me every night. Dadda was surprised at the laundromat when he pulled the blanket out of the dryer and mousey mouse fell onto the floor! He brought mousey mouse home to me nice and clean. I love Mousey Mouse!

The Great Backyard

Daddy lets me go out in the backyard with him sometimes under snoopervision. Today I went out for a little bit but it was really bright sun and really high grass, so I didn’t stay too long. Anyways, this is our backyard! We live in an apartment, so to get to the backyard we have to go down from the third floor then down the basement and up out into the backyard!!!

Me and My Teddy

I had to go to the V-E-T today when all I want to do is cuddle with my Ted E. Bear! He is just my size. But the good news is, as long as I stay healthy, I don’t have to go to the V-E-T again for another year. Also I gained one half of a pound, and they said I was in good shape. Like a circle or a square? I am Marko shaped! I got my booster shot today (OUCH!) and it made me really sleepy, so I’m gonna go cuddle some more with Ted.

Defender of my Castle

The beans brought me home a castle that is just for me. They want to go in it, but they are too big. But can you believe, on the first day, I had to defend my castle from Opossum! The nerve of that guy! Maybe I’ll let him visit SOME times.
