Well, we moved to the new house this past weekend. It is pretty great. We especially love exploring the basement, though Mama has no idea why. She says at least we’re cleaning it for her as we come up covered in cobwebs. Anyways, this past weekend we had a friend staying with us too, our friend Crystalee. And she missed us so much when she left that she made us these!

First up, our about pages have been updated to reflect one about page for each. Hence: About Marko, About Ani, and About Marcel.
We are living very happily together and will include some recent pictures in this post.
Furthermore, we may be facing a big move soon in the future. Hopefully it will include a big backyard for us to lay out in the sun.

Bonjour everyone, I am le French jazz cat, Marcel Marceau. I am not a mime but I am often quiet like one because I am shy and reserved. I am frightened around new people, but I was never scared of my new family. I am the middle cat in terms of age, Marko is my big brother and Ani is my little sister. I am the third cat to arrive in the family, though. I was already 10 months old when I came home, whereas Marko and Ani came at 3 and 2 months of age, respectively. I love my new family and my new home. My favorite spots to take a nap are under the bed and in the dirty clothes pile in the closet. It is very comfortable. At nighttime, I like to sleep in the big bed with everyone. I am definitely a lover, not a fighter. I take the human’s face between my paws (sans claws) and pull her in for a kiss. I like to give her kisses on the nose and cheeks. Marko, Ani, and I all take turns grooming each other. I like to play with Marko and Ani. Nice to meet you all! Enchante!

There is a third cat in the pride! I first met Marcel at the Western PA Humane Society whilst cat cuddling. Marcel’s kennel card noted that he was timid and shy but great when he warmed up to you. It took no time at all for him to warm up to me. We connected instantly and he did not want to go back into his kennel after our play time and tried to hold on to my shirt. He called out after me just like Marko had done. He’s right between Marko and Ani in terms of age, and I thought his personality would fit beautifully. I took him home the next day. After an adjustment period and gradually introducing the trio, they are getting on wonderfully. I have caught them grooming each other, playing together, and sleeping near each other. All three have slept with me in my bed at the same time. They think we may need a bigger bed.

Ani will introduce herself to you all:
Hi, I’m Ani. That’s short for Anise, like the spice. I’m also named after Annie Sullivan, the teacher of Hellen Keller. I was born July. My Momma first saw me on September the 6th, but didn’t get to take me home until September 8th because it was Labor Day weekend and I had to get operated on.

Hullo furriends,
I am so sorry I haven’t been on the line in so long, but big things have been happening. First of all, I moved into a new apartment with Mum. The Dad still visits sometimes, but they’re not together anymore. Then another big thing happened. I got a baby sister! Her name is Anise (Ani), and she can be a pain sometimes, but mostly we get along and cuddle and take care of each other and play together lots. One thing unique about Ani is she is deaf. But we communicate just fine. I am getting bigger too. I am now 7 months old and weight 8 pounds. Ani came when she was 2 months old and 2 pounds, but now she’s 3 months old and 3 1/2 pounds.

I have been going outside a lot lately. I get to play in the backyard when Momma or Dadda are out there with me. Now I have a harness and leash so I can go even further. I’m not sure about that yet, it’s not toooo bad, but i definitely don’t like to have it on indoors! here is a picture of me still in my harness on the bungee leash when i came in from my walk with Dadda.
